I love riding the subway.
New York has one of the largest, I think.
Some don't like riding public transport, but I love it. Some of my best stories come from the time I spend on the subway.
For instance, today, I saw the beast and the beauty of the subway.
On my way to school, it was majorly crowded on the train this morning. I hadn't had the best morning since I woke up late. Didn't even get to wash my face or brush my hair. Felt kind of gross. But I was looking forward to my trip on the subway because I wanted to read Fifty Shades of Grey. I just started it. When I got to the subway, I was met with a throng of people in every cart. Luckily, I was somehow able to squeeze myself into one of the carts. In the crowd, there was a big, square cart about average four people wide right dead center. Taking up so much space. A black lady (no racism in the word "black" >.< it's just easier to type) was sitting there, stated her possession of the massive cart by placing her hand on the corner. I wasn't bothered by the cart though because people have the bring their stuff one way or another. To my displeasure though, after a couple of stops, the black lady suddenly gets up, throws her bag on the seat, and starts yelling. "What is wrong with you? Don't touch me!" The subway begins to get so crowded that I assume this korean lady accidently touched the black lady on her way onto the train. The two get into an argument. The black lady goes on accusing the Korean lady of touching her, while the Korean lady denies it. Eventually, it heats up into a racist argument. The black lady goes on to call the Korean lady a foreigner, tells her to "Go back to China!", and that she has no manners. The Korean lady is angry, but doesn't know what to say. Her only defense is, "I'm Korea!" Her English isn't so good, but that's how I know she was Korean. The black lady ignores her statement, and continues to insult the Chinese race, thinking it'd insult the Korean lady...
"Get your green card, and go back to China, you foreigner!"
"Chinese people are so rude and impolite. so dirty! [ruining all the toilets]!"
"Talk English! You don't even know nothing about English!"
"Jesus Christ is the true God! Buddha is the false god!"
"My people built up America. You don't belong here. I was born in America. This is my country! Foreigner!"
It was a continuous string of these statements from the black lady. She continued to ramble throughout the whole train ride. The Korean lady just laughed at her, shook her head, and continued her own business. Knowing it was a fight not worth fighting.
Now, I'd like to first state that... it don't tell a Korean person to go back to China. >___> If you're going to insult a person, at least do it right. Also... Buddha isn't necessarily a god.... he's a person worshipped for being able to reach enlightenment. So he can't be a false god, if he isn't thought of as a god in the beginning(?)
I can't believe she'd make fun of the Korean lady's English when, although choppy, she still made somewhat grammatical sense, whereas the black lady was talking in improper English and spoke with so many double negatives ^^;;....
Her people built up America... but Asians built the railroads and make the majority of products used in America >____>. so I think everyone deserves a little credit here? ^^;.
If the Korean lady was seen to be rude (for accidently touching someone and defending herself from verbal attacks), then the black lady was mean! Insulting someone's race (a race in which half the people of the train was) and yelling in the morning. ALSO, she disrupted my reading ;A;. I re-read the same paragraph like eight times because I couldn't concentrate T^T.
Finally, the train reaches my stop, and I'm able to get off. I transfer onto the next train. This young and light-blonde lady gets onto the train in a tight fit. She explains that she absolutely has to get onto the train as she attempts to kindly (or as kindly as you can) push people into the train. Her dark mascara contrasting against her pale, white skin. As she's struggling to get her stuff together, I hear this dark colored man (Hispanic, black, or brown. I didn't get a good look at him) say "Hey, I know you from somewhere." The two of them talk. And eventually, I learn that they're both dancers. In their young mid-twenties most likely. You hear them trade stories, knowledge, and experiences. Their passion was thick in the air while they spoke of their attempts to make what they love into their career. You can even see a bit of chemistry going on between them. or at least a blossoming friendship.
And that's why I think New York is a curious, wonderful place. There's so many different kinds of people. You'll see so many different kinds of things each day. I mean I do at least every time I go to school. It's like mini-dramas in each train :o

New C-Pop Obession
I'm like totally in love with C-pop right now.
LOL. I can't believe I haven't explored this stuff until now. I feel so late ;A;.
It's really awesome though. I don't know why, but Chinese people just have like really sexy voices .__. //totally unbiased answer btw.
Anywayss, here's some of the people that I like so far :'D
LOL. I found them like awhile ago. I really like their music, but never really got very into them. To be honest, I've only ever listened to this song of theirs (and maybe like one or two others).. but I really like this one XD. I like how they mention their name, Top Combine, in some/most? of their vides. It's funny :>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVQ0K566cxg <- the only dance I can actually do! xD
Ah hahahaa, I like this song the most from them. XDD. Their other stuff is pretty good too, I guess :3 andd, I've watched the drama Ikemen Desu. It has like two of the guys from this band in it. LOL It was the first drama that I actually officially finished (I've started so many dramas, but haven't finished them yet).
So those two were my first C-pop songs ;w;
BUUUT, the band I like the most a the moment would be Hit-5 ♥♥♥. Ohmigosh, they're so cute and like awesome TTwTT.
^This is the first song I heard by them. I totally found them by chance. randomly clicked a video (because I thought the beginning picture was kinda cute XD). I think I totally found my new love ♥ ;w;. (besides Kat-Tun of course x3).
I'm also into G.E.M. I don't listen to female foreign singers very often (reasons are too long to explain xD), so she's pretty good to have caught my interest =w=b. She's super pretty too ;w; makes me totally jelly.
LOL... they're like half Chinese or something like that, so I guess this counts XDDD. I don't knoww. but I'm really loving Chinese singers right now. ahahaa xD. They're really good thoughh. Meh friend, B-queer showed it to me. And all the members are so incredibly cute >w< !!
Ah harr, but I haven't really researched into any of these people yet T^T. I totally should. and soon. LOL. I'm such a late bloomer. getting into music wayy after everyone else did xD. but I guess I'm different like that, so ha :P

It's Late Again
It's late at night again. It's like 10:30...heh heh ^ ^;; *awkward*. LOL xD okay so not that late. But I need meh sleep. So this post will be quick (thus there might be some grammar errors :P).
Teachers have been giving stupids tests like every other day. It's bugging the crap out of me. So. Much. Studying. OTL. I'm going to die at this rate xP. My grades have been getting terrible lately too!! It's like no matter how much I study, I fail. You know how much that sucks?! And it's not that I don't study enough. Rin-chan forces me to study like every night (which is killing me as well!). I usually just wing it and get good enough grades xD. Studying with Rin-chan doesn't help though! It seems like the topic is either too hard for me to wing or studying just doesn't help me. I vote second idea :3 (haha if only xD). I formed a new way of studying though. Instead of Rin-chan asking the questions I do. Which helps much more than you would think. My brain is weird, so I learn better if I hear the answers instead of saying/thinking up the answers myself. I hope I do better on tests soon because if I don't start improving I will die of bad-test-sickness.
Kohai-chan is funny. She can't pronounce my name and/or doesn't remember how to pronounce it. The way she says my name is the equivalent to pronouncing Emiko (em-ee-ko) as Emuka (em-oo-ca). It's rather amusing. I would usually correct a person who can't pronounce my name, but it's not a big deal to me xD. Plus, I have a feeling she doesn't really care~. All the children, Boss-lady, and Kohai-chan can't pronounce my name correctly. It's cute when the children mispronounce it, but hilarious when adults can't xD.
I'm Chinese, and can't speak the language fluently. Lots of people make fun of me for it. You always hear them say, "You can't speak Chinese?!" or "Haha you suck." or "You're not a true Chinese!" ...yea >_> not very pleasant. So you would think with all these insults I would learn Chinese right? Well wrong xD. But I know a few words :3. Not enough to have a conversation, but it's not like I don't know anything at all. All the children at my work place is Chinese except for like three of them. The Chinese people can all speak Chinese, so two kids tried to teach me some of the language. ...except don't trust kids to teach you Chinese! These children are only in like elementary, so they were teaching me how to say "poopoo head" and "poop is on your head, now you die." and other stuff that I can't really remember at the moment. I relearned a bunch of stuff too. Like they were calling me stupid and crazy in Chinese, and I was able to understand xD because those are part of my very small vocabulary. ....sigh *head desk* this is very sad and depressing. I'm so fail xD
*yawn* okay~ meh has to go to bed now ^ ^ so good night people <3
ps. yesh this is what I call a "quick post". and yesh I'm able to write this much in 20 minutes xD

Bleh~ xP
Today, I had a mixture of feelings in me xP.
I am super happy that I did well on my Spanish test :D yay! ....or at least I think I did well xD lol. I usually don't study, but I pay attention in class and retain the knowledge I learn. However, I have this reputation for being a huge nerd, so everybody comes to me when they need help for studying. So I ended up helping about 3 people study for the Spanish test. Therefore, I basically studied the equivalent amount of 4 people xP. Sigh~ I need to learn how to say no xD. But I feel as though, if I don't help them study, it'd be my fault if they fail Dx and I don't want my classmates to fail! So yea~ I feel very confident in my grade ^ ^
...LOL xD imagine I get my test back and get like an 85....that'd be terrible >_>
or "mal" as they would say in Spanish xD.
hmm~ most people in my class would like memorize each and every question plus their answers, and then check to see if they're right after the test. I don't like to do that though.
1. because my memory sucks xD and it's impossible for me to do that.
and
2. i like to estimate my grade, and stay positive~ so I don't worry myself about it during the time it takes the teacher to grade the tests.
But I was also sad because on my math test I got a 98...yea some of you are probably thinking "That's good! :D" but it caused me and Lucka-chan to momentarily go into what we call the "emo corner" (no offense to real emo ppl!! it's just a phrase ^ ^;; that I shall tell my friend to change...cuz i realize how mean that is) so let's call it the "depressed corner". damn why couldn't i get a 100?!??! >_>
Anyways, where was I? Oh yea! So a 98 is no good to me and Luka-chan because we're totaly nerds; plain and simple nerds...okay maybe not simple..or plain xD. but u get the idea.
I'm a NERD and I'm PROUD! lolol xD nerds FTW! <3~~
sigh~ I'm weird xD
...okay xD well my brain is like being super weird on me today, so I don't know what else to say to you people. So, adios! hasta manana~! (spanish for: goodbye, see you tomorrow)<-- I am trying to use Spanish in my daily life so that I don't have to study very hard before a test xD so smart~, ne? ;D
Well buenas noches~ (goodnight)
>_> I should really do these kind of language exercises to help me learn Chinese. LOL xD but I guess Spanish is easier to type because i uses same-ish letters as English. Ah! But I am learning Chinese little by little though nonetheless :3 *is in a very happy mood~ :D *
